Crimson Amulet from Dark Shadows NYX: Review

I got this Amazing palette in my Glossybox beauty box subscription( www.glossybox.ca). I literally squealed when I saw this. I am pretty much obsessed with anything Tim Burton and especially loved Dark Shadows! Ok so lets start this review :)

The front of the palette, kept closed with a little magnet latch on the right side.

Inside the book. A whopping 24 eyeshadows :) Mostly shimmer and matte with a few sheer shadows.

The next page showing the Looks. Josette, Dr. Hoffman and Angelique.

Swatch of the bottom 12 eyeshadows top left shadow and top right are very light!

Swatch of the top 12 eyeshadows bottom right shadow is beautiful:)

Swatch of the blushes.  And the four gorgeous lippys!

Swatch of the eyeliner, I <3 how black it is :)

What I loved:
- The amount of eyeshadows :)
-The different looks I could achieve
-Basically everything!!

What I didn't love
-I am not a huge fan of lip palettes, they take a long time to build up!
-some of the mattes weren't very pigmented.

To buy or not to buy?
If I saw this on a shelf at Sephora or Ulta, I would definitely pick it up! Besides it being...AMAZING and Tim Burton inspired, there was quite a bit of product in this little pack. I got mine through Glossy so I didn't pay near the retail. I think that the MSRP was 25.00 but I see that now NYX has it on sale for 9.99, in other words you need to get you some of this!! Here is the link for the sale http://www.nyxcosmetics.com/p-158-the-crimson-amulet-collection-s123.aspx Happy shopping! I did a look below and feel free to comment :)

For the look I chose Angelique. I tried to get myself as pale as I could!! loved the lippy, it is in deep crimson.

E.L.F. Villains Cruella De Ville Palette

First a little intro:
I have been looking for any of the ELF Villains palettes since they came out! They were only released in select Walgreens stores and living where I do thats about 12 hours to the nearest Walgreens. Naturally I started scouring the internet for this palette, and ended up finding them for $40-$50 dollars each! WHAT A RIP! The MSRP on these bad boys is $9.99. I was originally looking for the Malificent one(Because I <3 this villain) and the Cruella  De Ville because I am in love with the browns this fall!  I came down to see my family and made a quick escape to the states and after scouring a couple of Walgreens I found 1 palette the Cruella De Ville palette, after letting out an excited SHRIEK and I hobbled to the counter (clutching the palette like a mad man!) and paid promptly.

So here is the beast and my full review:

The inside :) I put a post-it over the mirror

My thoughts:
    Things I liked :
Favourite colour was Cruelty (shimmer, mossy green) it had great coverage and was GORGEOUS!
I also really liked the liquid eyeliner, it went on super easy and stayed put.
I also really liked the Matte vivid red lip colour :) It was dramatic and covered well.
The primer was amazing, as usual <3
I also liked the mini tutorial that came with the book,it was very helpful and gave some great little tips.

Things I wasn't so crazy about:
I liked the eyeshadows but I found that the matte colours weren't as pigmented as other ELF shadows I have used before, I also found that the shimmers tended to have a lot of fall out :(
I really disliked the daytime lip/cheek colour it made me look like a pasty ghost and was very drying.
I think they should have included a mini mascara and a dual blush.
It was a neat idea to have lip/blush pencils but in reality they didn't pan out very well.

To buy or not to buy??

If you can find this little gem lurking in your Walgreens then you best be picking it up! I seriously <3 Disney and I thought for $9.99 it was a good price. I mean who doesn't want to be a villain sometimes? However I don't think I would pay more than $25 for a palette. Sure its Disney and its cute but the eyeshadows are pretty small and I am fairly sure you could buy the stuff from ELF online for a lot less.
